MEET thinkART: where creativity meets community
THINKArt is a place where artists and the community come together to think, create, and learn.
THINKArt is a community hub where people can learn about the creative process from artists, share ideas, and explore their own creativity. We want to make art, creativity, and the creative process a part of everyone’s lives. Our events will take many forms, including artist talks, classes, workshops, dinners, public installations, murals, and exhibitions.
THINKArt partners with universities and cultural institutions to offer professional development. Each season Arroscia Residency hosts an intern who assists with curatorial support, community engagement, and program administration, gaining hands-on arts management experience.
arroscia residency THINKART presents INCONTRO - June/JULY 2026
INCONTRO AN EXHIBITION FEATURING PAINTINGS AND SCULPTURES BY ITALIAN ARTISTS
A HISTORY OF ENCOUNTERS:
The history of art is a history of encounters: between artists, between artists and patrons, between artists and masterpieces of the past, between spectators and the work. The latter is the most extraordinary, as it is unique for each observer (and unrepeatable even when confronted with the same work over time, since feelings and circumstances can change), bringing about what Gadamer calls a "fusion of horizons" (and here too it is an encounter, uniting prior knowledge with the object of contemplation).
The title of the second group exhibition by Arroscia Residency ThinkArt, presented on the occasion of the Romantic Night in Italy's Most Beautiful Villages, summarizes the meaning of these connections between man and art and interprets, in a relational sense, Romanticism, the first artistic movement to directly connect the individual, the environment, and history. The participating artists, from all over Italy, develop a network of connections between space, feelings, matter, sacredness, nature, and mystery in a dialogue that, through various pictorial and sculptural techniques, encompasses every aspect of the human journey.
A profound encounter, born from the tireless desire of John Clements and Nicola Parente to build a dynamic, open cultural reality that opens to new visions and invites visitors to rediscover, in the digital age, a silent and concrete connection between the self and the universe.

arroscia residency THINKART welcomes Serena Barbera, our first intern - 2026
Arroscia Residency is a registered provider of internships with the University of Genova. Master students earn school credit for these required internships. We are proud to host our first intern, Serena Barbera. Serena is pursuing her Masters in Art History and Artistic Heritage Promotion. Her responsibilities include setting up an archive for the Residency and researching the history of the palazzo in which the Residency is housed.
Arroscia Residency offers training objectives such as the opportunity to promote and curate exhibitions, particularly those of the hosted artists; experience useful for training as art curators. The resident artists and the intern have the opportunity to collaborate with, or use as inspiration, the population and the city of Pieve di Teco and its surroundings for their creative process; with the possibility of artistic promotion and research in the area. The goal is to bring art, cultural promotion, activities and practical artistic workshops to places that are often overlooked or forgotten; using art as a universal language.
