The Arroscia Residency is proud to present our first artists-in-residence for the upcoming session. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to CAMILO CORREA-COSTA, KRISTINA ROSE BAKER, and CAMILO NUNEZ.

The selection process was highly competitive, attracting a total of 76 strong applicants from an impressive 27 different countries. Our dedicated jurors meticulously reviewed each submission, taking into account the remarkable portfolios of the applicants alongside their thoughtful and insightful responses to application questions.

We applaud these three talented artists for their achievements. Their presence at the residency promises to enrich our creative community and contribute to a vibrant exchange of artistic ideas.

WORLD WIDE RESPONSE for the Arroscia RESIDENCY OPEN CALL

Arroscia Residency is pleased to report that its inaugural Open Call for Artists has successfully closed on April 5, marking a significant milestone for our organization. The worldwide response to our opening residency has been nothing short of fantastic. We received an impressive total of applications from 76 talented artists hailing from 27 diverse countries around the globe. Now, the difficult yet essential work is under way, as we meticulously review the information received and carefully select the winners of the Arroscia Residency Fall 2025 grants. The quality and creativity of the work submitted are truly impressive and inspiring. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all respondents who participated and to everyone who helped spread the word about our new residency initiative. Stay tuned for updates on the selected artists and upcoming events.

First oPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS OPENS MARCH 1, 2025

With construction a month from finishing, John Clements and Nicola Parente announce that the first open call for artists of the Arroscia Residency will open on March 1, 2025. A sample of the questionnaire in English, Italian and Spanish can be found on our website so that artists can begin compiling their information. The deadline for submission is April 5, 2025. The jurors are looking forward to seeing your portfolios!

La prima open call sarà a marzo del 2025 e la residenza aprirà le sue porte nel settembre dello stesso anno

Lavina- Pieve di Teco. Da tre anni John Clements, architetto e Nicola Parente, visual artist, entrambi americani hanno eletto Lavina, frazione del Comune di Rezzo (Valle delle Giare) la loro casa. Un sogno che custodivano da tanti anni anche con un obiettivo ambizioso: costruire una residenza per artisti in Valle Arroscia.  Entrambi i loro desideri sono diventati realtà e dopo tanta ricerca hanno trovato l’alloggio perfetto a Pieve di Teco dove già dal prossimo settembre gli artisti selezionati potranno soggiornare per un paio di mesi nel borgo medioevale e creare, dipingere la loro arte. Ma ad una condizione: interagire con la comunità locale per far conoscere la propria arte e donare una loro opera per creare un museo. …

Renovation of the Arroscia Residency Studio has begun!

After 6 months of preparation of construction drawings and permits, the renovation is officially underway. Look for upcoming posts showing the transformation.

As soon as the scaffolding started going up, excitement over this project in a small village in Liguria spread. The Pieve di Teco residents are thrilled to have this cultural addition to their historic village.
